Verdent: The World's First AI Engineering Team for Builders

Verdent has launched what it claims is the world's first fully autonomous AI engineering team, a moonshot that could fundamentally reshape how software gets built if it actually works at scale. The startup's pitch—that artificial intelligence can now handle the complex, creative work of writing and debugging code with minimal human oversight—challenges a core assumption in tech: that engineering remains stubbornly human-dependent even as other knowledge work gets automated. If Verdent's technology proves reliable, it could either unlock a productivity boom for software companies or trigger a reckoning for the hundreds of thousands of engineers whose bargaining power has long rested on their scarcity.
